God Wants Me to Be Helpful Part 2

Today we learned more about how God wants us to be helpful. Dorcas in Acts, chapter 9 is where we learned the importance of being helpful. Among her charitable deeds was making clothes for widows and the needy of her church community with her own hands. She was not only willing to give money to a cause, but she was willing to invest herself in the works of kindness. So...after our reading, song, and coloring we made helper buckets. Then to apply what we learned the boys helped with laundry. I reminded them all day of ways to be helpful and of course kindness is inforced as well. It is never okay to be helpful without a kind heart. The last two pictures are the boys eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream (our favorite!) right before bed. Hmmm...sugar before bed maybe not such a good idea...
